Beth Phoenix, real name- Elisabeth Carolan, was born in Buffalo, New York, November 24th 1980. Beth always wanted to be a pro-wrestler, her for the sport led her to join her high school wrestling team, and she became the first female varsity wrestler in her school's history. During college she continued wrestling, until she began training with the All Knighters. She later made her pro-wrestling debut in 2000 taking on Alexis Laree. Beth wrestled throughout America and Canada, and in 2003 relocated to Louisville (OVW). In October 2005 Beth received a WWE developmental contract. In May 2006 Beth debuted on WWE Raw attacking Mickie James, but just 5 weeks later, Beth broke her jaw during a match with Victoria. After over a year of waiting in OVW, Beth finally returned to Raw on July 9th 2007, teaming with Melina and Jillian.
